Why is the blue sensor light not turning on?
- Check to see if your batteries are low or drained
- Check to see if your battery orientation is correct
- Check to see if there is any corrosion on battery contact points
- Make sure you are not using rechargeable batteries
Why does my sensor light up but no soap is dispensing?
- Make sure you are not using soap containing beads
- Make sure you are not using foaming soap
- Clean any residue left on the spout nozzle
- Pinch rubber nozzle to release any air bubbles and to ensure no residue build up is present
Why is the sensor light red?
- Your batteries are drained and need to be replaced
- Check to see if there is any corrosion on battery contact points

Troubleshooting Steps
1. Fill the Pump with Hot Water
After inserting the batteries, if the blue light comes on and you hear the motor but the soap doesn’t dispense, try pouring the soap into a separate container, then fill the pump with hot water (not boiling) and let sit for 5-10 minutes until cool.
2. Activate the Hand Sensor
Put your hand in front of the motion sensor and repeat until the water starts to flow well.
3. Empty the Water & Refill the Soap
Now empty the water and refill the pump with soap.
4. Thin the Soap Out
If you find the brand of soap you have purchased is too thick, try adding some water to thin it out. Otto Automatic Soap Pump is not recommended for use with foaming hand soaps, gel sanitizer or soap with exfoliants
